RTP & House Edge Explained
RTP (Return to Player) is a percentage that tells you how much of the total money wagered on a game is paid back to players over a large number of rounds. For example, a slot with 96% RTP will — on average — return ৳96 for every ৳100 wagered over its statistical lifetime. This is a theoretical long-run figure, not a guarantee per session.
Slot games typically range from 92% to 98% RTP, with most quality titles from Pragmatic Play and NetEnt sitting between 95% and 97%. Blackjack with basic strategy achieves approximately 99% RTP — among the best of any casino game. European Roulette offers ~97.3% RTP (single zero), while American Roulette drops to ~94.7% (double zero). Baccarat Banker bet returns ~98.9%, making it one of the highest-RTP bets on the casino floor.
House edge is simply the inverse of RTP — it represents the mathematical advantage the casino holds over the player in the long run. A 2.7% house edge on European Roulette means the casino retains an average of ৳2.70 from every ৳100 wagered. Understanding house edge helps you choose games where your money lasts longer and your chances are genuinely better.
Smart players at eq99 use RTP data to inform their game selection. If your goal is extended entertainment, choose high-RTP slots or Baccarat. If you enjoy high-variance excitement with the possibility of a large single win, progressive jackpot slots or crash games may suit you better. Always set a budget before you play and treat any winnings as a bonus, not an income source.
